Reuniting Lost Pets and their Families in Central Texas PLEASE BE CAREFUL about the contact information you list, about meeting people you don't know, and about identifying pets. You may want to consider meeting away from your home in a public place. Also, please be aware that some people will employ a scam to try to take an animal that doesn't belong to them. Please do your best to make sure the pet gets to its rightful owner. CenTexLostPets.org does not keep, use, or sell contact information. Information is only used by other people who want to contact you about the lost or found pet. PLEASE, take the time to actively search for your pet. If you have lost a pet and don't see it listed here, keep checking back. Also contact shelters, rescues, your local Animal Control Officer, police department or sheriff's office. Many of these are listed on our Resources page. Please remember that shelters and rescues generally do not have ample manpower to address every lost and found case. In addition, another person's description of your pet may not match your own description, making it difficult to make a match. It is important that you physically visit your local shelter(s) and rescue(s) to identify your pet. SPREAD THE WORD. We hope you find this site useful and that you will help us spread the word about this service. The more people who use one list to report a lost or found pet, the greater the chances are for more people to be reunited with their pets. By using this site, you agree to our Terms of Use.
